okay, some furniture photos
And forgive me if they are terrible – my lower back is in spasm and I am being SCENARed.
This is the set of rocking chairs we have outside the bedroom area, for our dottage. It may come soon.
And then a little set outside the kitchen, a lovely location for your morning coffee (except we don’t drink coffee, and I don’t do mornings).
And then the pieces that have served us well in the living room for 12 days.
And the living room with its real upholstered pieces (forgive me, but that window washer is in this shot too):
You may notice beach towels in the background – we just bought a cute straw tote to keep them in, all rolled up by the door at the ready. And there’s a little lamp on the sofa table I will have to show you – it now has sea glass in it. And the bird, of course. It isn’t really as cluttered as it looks.
The furniture feels like the cushions have been filled with cement, but people assure us they may soften in a decade or two.

I love everything! Looks so spacious and airy. Especially like the deck arrangements though. I don’t do early mornings but 9:30′s are good – and noontimes and 2 pm’s with tea, and 7 pm with wine…and the whole time looking at the ocean.
Which side does the sun hit – or is it just always there?
Also love the new picture – where exactly will it be? Beautiful blues. Janet
That works for me! It is nice and airy, not too spacious though. We don’t need spacious.
The new giclee is on the right-hand wall as you come in the upper front entrance (opposite the ocean entrance). It is the first thing you see, if you look to the right. Of course everyone looks straight at the ocean first, then they will look right.
And the sun – well, what part of the day? It is basically in front of us, comes up to our east in the morning and goes down to the west, but we face sort of south-south-east. So the sun sort of goes across our entire front all day, all seasons. Sometimes it is higher, sometimes lower, but it is always there. In the worst heat times, the sun is higher than the outdoor room roof, so it will be relatively comfortable. Or so we think!
