can you get there from here?
You might wonder how people know how to get to where they’re going, when there are no street signs. The streets have names, but most people don’t know them. There are no mailboxes, no mailmen. There’s a post office in Hope Town proper, and I guess if someone has mail word would filter down to them eventually and they’d go pick it up.
So how do people know how to get where they want to go? Well, with one real main street, it isn’t too difficult. But then businesses and people will put up their own signs to help out.

Sea Spray Resort and Marina

Native Collections – Bahamian-made (somethings)
Abaco Inn
Sweeting’s Grocery (which recently has closed)
Sugar Shack – ice cream, t-shirts and more!
Sugar Shack – deli, ice cream, t-shirts and more (and they do make a mean tuna sandwich)
Sammy from Miami – apparently here for spring break, and trying to help his buds find him, if only they can read the scrawl
PB’s and Gene’s Place – now, why do the arrows point both ways? I will have to find out the answer to that one, because
PB’s Place is LEFT. PB and Gene are musicians, and PB’s Place is the first little cottage we rented here on Elbow Cay.
Here it is – to the left, and on the left:
